The UCISAT 1 was designed in accordance with the classic 1U cubesat design requirements. When launched, UCISAT 1 will enter sun-synchronous low-earth orbit. The primary mission objective is to capture images of Earth and transmit them back to the K6UCI ground station located on campus. The secondary mission objective is to record and transmit angular velocity data taken from the inertial sensor, which has never flown in space.
Subsystem integration and testing. Vibration and thermal vacuume testing will begin in early February 2012.
